(HWC) Fresh Check Day!

2:00 PM
Don’t miss Fresh Check Day on 4/14 from 2-5 in Pearsons! Check in on your mental health at this fun fair-like event, featuring music, food, games, interactive booths and activities, great prizes, and more! #‎freshcheckdaybeloit
What is Fresh Check Day?

Fresh Check Day is an uplifting, fair-like event aimed at creating an approachable atmosphere that encourages students to engage in dialogue about mental health (think Spring Day, but with a Mental Health focus).

Suicide is one of the leading causes of death among college students. Through peer-to-peer messaging, interactive expo booths, free food and exciting prizes, Fresh Check Day works to reduce stigma and misconceptions around mental health and suicide, increase awareness of mental health resources and services to ultimately empower students and increase their willingness to ask for help when they experience emotional distress.

How it works?

Students who attend Fresh Check Day are given a stamp card that acts as a passport through the different booth activities. Once a participant has thoroughly engaged in an activity, they receive a stamp on their card for that booth. When a student has received at least 5 stamps, they can return their completed stamp card to be entered into a drawing for exciting prizes. Our grand prize giveaway is a 32” Flat screen TV!!
